What is Hydralazine?

Hydralazine is a prescription medication that is used to treat high blood pressure. Hydralazine is a vasodilator medication and works by relaxing the muscles in the blood vessels and causing them to widen so that blood can flow more easily.

  • Numbness or tingling.
  • Little, no, painful or difficult urination.
  • Feeling lightheaded or like you might pass out.
  • Burning pain in the hands or feet.
  • Signs of lupus-like-syndrome including chest pain, joint pain, fever with swelling, swollen glands, muscle aches, vomiting, patchy skin color, or unusual thoughts or behavior.
  • Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling in your face, lips, or throat.
