Aricept Evess is a prescription medication that is used to improve the mental function of people that have Alzheimer’s disease. Aricept Evess contains the enzyme blocker medication donepezil and works by restoring the balance of certain neurotransmitters in the brain.

• Aricept Evess can be taken with or without food.
• Aricept Evess is an orally disintegrating tablet. Place the tablet in your mouth and allow it to dissolve. Do not chew this medication. Swallow several times while the tablet is dissolving.
• Drink a glass of water once this medication has dissolved.
• Do not stop taking this medication without speaking to a doctor.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist:

• About your drug and other allergies
• If you take any other prescription or over-the-counter medications
• Your medical history particularly of seizures, liver disease, kidney disease, stomach ulcers, asthma, breathing disorders, heart rhythm disorders, stomach ulcers, or urination problems.
• If you have problems swallowing tablets
• If you are pregnant or planning pregnancy
• If you are breast-feeding

• This medication may affect your reactions. Do not drive or operate machinery until you can do so safely.

Common side effects of Aricept Evess include but are not limited to:

• Nausea or vomiting.
• Muscle pain.
• Diarrhea.
• Loss of appetite.
• Tiredness or sleeping problems.

Get medical help if you have any of the following side effects of donepezil:

• Slow heartbeats.
• New or worsening stomach pain.
• Seizures.
• Feeling lightheaded or like you might pass out.
• New or worsening breathing problems.
• Painful or difficult urination.
• Nausea, heartburn, or vomiting.
• Signs of stomach bleeding including coughing up blood, bloody or tarry stools, or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling in your face, lips, or throat.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Aricept Evess?

If you miss a dose of Aricept Evess, you skip your missed dose and take the next dose at the regular time. Speak to your doctor if you miss 7 consecutive doses.
