Cleocin T Lotion (lincomycin antibiotics) is used to treat acne. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of bacteria that cause acne and by decreasing swelling.

Use the Cleocin T Lotion exactly as directed. Topical medicine is for use only on the skin. Do not use on open wounds or sunburned, windburned, dry, or irritated skin.

• Shake Cleocin T lotion well before each use.
• Wash your hands before and after applying for this medicine.
• Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve or if they get worse.

Before using Cleocin T Lotion, tell your doctor and pharmacist:

• If you are allergic to clindamycin, lincomycin (Lincocin), or other medications,
• You have or have ever had inflammatory bowel disease or severe diarrhea caused by an antibiotic. 
• If you have or have ever had asthma, eczema or allergies,
• Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. 
• If you are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are using Cleocin T Lotion.
• You should know that abrasive or medicated soaps and skin products that contain alcohol may make the side effects of this medication worse.

Common side effects of Cleocin T Lotion include:

• Skin irritation
• Dryness
• Redness
• Peeling
• Burning
• Oily skin
• Sensitivity to sun

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; or swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

How to store the Cleocin T Lotion?

Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Do not freeze. 

How to discard the Cleocin T Lotion?

Do not flush Cleocin T Lotion down the toilet or pour them into a drain unless instructed. Properly discard this product when it is expired or no longer needed. Consult your pharmacist or local waste disposal company.

What are the possible side effects of Cleocin T?

Burning, itching, dryness, peeling or redness of treated skin may occur.
