What is CombiPatch?

CombiPatch is a medication patch containing estradiol and norethindrone acetate which is prescribed to treat the symptoms of menopause including hot flashes and vaginal changes such as vaginal dryness, burning and itching. CombiPatch may also be used before menopause to treat a lack of estrogen which may be caused by primary ovarian failure, surgical removal of the ovaries, hypogonadism or other conditions.

Make sure to always read the patient information and instructions before using this medication. Always Follow your doctor’s directions.

  • Peel off the backing of your patch and apply it to a clean, dry area of your lower stomach. Hold down the patch firmly for ten seconds to ensure that it stays on.
  • Do not apply CombiPatch to your breast or to broken, oily or irritated skin, or to areas where it may easily be rubbed off.
  • CombiPatch patches are usually replaced twice a week. When applying a new patch, make sure to apply it to a different area of your skin and wait at least a week before applying a patch to the same area.
  • If your patch falls off, reapply it to a different area. If the patch does not stick completely, apply a new patch for the remaining scheduled period.
  • Do not wear multiple patches at one time.
  • You should never cut a skin patch.
  • Tell your doctor if your condition does not improve.
