Ditropan XL is a prescription medication that is used to treat symptoms of overactive bladder including frequent and urgent urination, night-time urination, and incontinence. Ditropan XL contains oxybutynin and works by reducing the number of muscle spasms in the bladder and urinary tract.

• Diarrhea.

Get medical help if you have any of the following side effects of oxybutynin:

• Urination that is painful, difficult or less frequent.
• Severe stomach pain or constipation.
• Vision changes including blurred vision, tunnel vision or seeing halos around lights.
• Eye pain.
• Signs of dehydration including heavy sweating, dry or hot skin, severe thirst, feeling hot or inability to urinate.
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives or swelling in your face, lips or throat.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Ditropan XL?

If you miss a dose of Ditropan XL, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip your missed dose.
