• Swallow Fosamax Plus D whole without chewing or crushing.
• Do not lie down or recline for at least 30 minutes after taking this medication.

• Severe bone, muscle, or joint pain.
• New or unusual thigh or hip pain.
• Pain or burning under the ribs or in your back.
• Pain, swelling, or numbness in your jaw.
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling in your face, lips, or throat.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Fosamax Plus D?

If you miss a dose of Fosamax Plus D, take it first thing in the morning the next day. Then return to your normal scheduled day of the week.
