Kazano is a prescription medication that is used to lower blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. Kazano is a combination medication that contains alogliptin and metformin. • Headaches
• Back pain
• Nausea or vomiting
• Gas, diarrhea or upset stomach

Get medical help if you have any of the following side effects of Kazano.

• Severe or persistent joint pain
• Signs of high blood pressure including severe headaches, vision changes, dizziness or passing out
• Signs of a urinary tract infection (UTI) including lower stomach pain, pelvic pain, fever or urination that is painful, burns, bloody, urgent or more frequent
• Signs of lactic acidosis including upset stomach, diarrhea or vomiting later during treatment
• Signs of a severe skin reaction including sores in your mouth, throat, nose or eyes, red or irritated eyes or skin that is red, blistered, swollen or peeling
• Pancreatitis symptoms including severe stomach or back pain, upset stomach or vomiting.
• Signs of a liver problem including dark urine, clay-colored stools, vomiting, tiredness, lack of hunger, stomach pain, upset stomach or jaundice
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives or swelling in your face, lips or throat

What should I do if I miss a dose of Kazano?

If you miss a dose of Kazano, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip your missed dose.
