What is Livalo?

Livalo (pitavastatin) is a medication used to reduce levels of “bad” cholesterol in the blood and to increase levels of “good” cholesterol. Pitavastatin slows down the production of cholesterol in the body which decreases the amount of cholesterol which can build up on your artery walls blocking blood flow to the heart, brain and other body parts. Livalo should be taken as part of a treatment plan including a proper diet, exercising, weight control and stopping smoking.
