Lotriderm Cream is a prescription medication that is used to treat fungal skin infections including ringworm, jock itch and athlete’s foot. Lotriderm Cream is a combination medication that contains betamethasone and clotrimazole and works by fighting infections and reducing itching, swelling and redness.

• Wash your hands before and after applying this medication.
• Apply Lotriderm Cream to your skin. Apply a thin layer and gently rub it in.
• Keep your skin dry and clean to avoid further infection.
• You should not cover the treated area with a covering or bandage unless directed by your doctor.
• Continue to use Lotriderm Cream for the full amount of time prescribed, even if your symptoms improve.
• Speak to your doctor if your symptoms have not improved after a week. If you are using Lotriderm Cream on your feet, wait two weeks.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist:

• About your drug and other allergies.
• If you take any other prescription or over-the-counter medications.
• Your medical history particularly of liver disease, diabetes, adrenal gland disorders, cataracts, glaucoma, or a skin reaction to any steroid medication.

• If you are breast-feeding. Avoid applying this medication to any area that may come into contact with the baby’s mouth.

You should also know:

• This medication should not be used by anyone younger than 17.
• If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, apply Lotriderm cream for the shortest amount of time possible and to the smallest area of skin.

Common side effects of Lotriderm Cream include but are not limited to:

• New infections.
• Skin dryness or rash.
• Swelling.
• Stinging, tingling or numbness.

Get medical help if you have any of the following side effects of Lotriderm Cream.

• Worsening of your condition.
• Irritation, swelling, oozing, redness or warmth where applied.
• Eye pain.
• Vision changes including blurred vision, tunnel vision or seeing halos around lights.
• Signs of high blood sugar including fruity breath odor, dry mouth, increased thirst or increased urination.
• Signs that this medication has been absorbed through the skin including nausea, diarrhea, menstrual changes, sexual changes, mood changes, weight gain, thinning skin, discolored skin, slow wound healing, increased body hair or muscle weakness.
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives or swelling in your face, lips or throat.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Lotriderm Cream?

If you miss a dose of Lotriderm Cream, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip your missed dose.
