What is Lumigan?

Lumigan (Bimatoprost) eye drops are used to treat open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension. This medication relieves high intraocular pressure by increasing the amount of fluid that drains from the eye. Secondary use of Lumigan is to improve fullness and length of eyelashes in people with lack of eyelash growth.

Always follow your doctor’s instructions and use Lumigan exactly as prescribed.

• Never use Lumigan while wearing contact lenses. It contains a preservative that may be absorbed by your lenses. After using Lumigan, wait 15 minutes before putting contact lenses in.
• Always wash hands before use.
• Do not touch the Lumigan dropper to any surface, including your hands or eyes. Doing so may cause infection.
• Pull down your eyelid to create a pocket. Use the dropper to squeeze a drop into the affected eye.
• Wait at least five minutes before using any other eye drops.
• Take Lumigan at the same time each day.
