Nasacort AQ Nasal Spray is a prescription medication that is used to treat symptoms of seasonal allergies and hay fever including sneezing, stuffy nose, runny nose, and itching. Nasacort AQ Nasal Spray contains the corticosteroid triamcinolone and works by preventing the release of substances that cause inflammation.

• Nasacort AQ Nasal Spray should only be inhaled through the nose. Do not take by mouth.
• Shake the bottle well before every use.
• Gently blow your nose before using it.
• While your head is upright, insert the bottle tip into one nostril. Use a finger to close the other nostril. Breathe in quickly while gently spraying the medication into your nostril. Repeat with the other nostril.
• Do not blow your nose within a few minutes of using this medication.
• Prime your inhaler with one or two test sprays into a tissue if this medication has not been used in over two weeks.
• Do not share this medication with anyone else to prevent the spread of germs.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist:

• About your drug and other allergies.
• If you take any other prescription or over-the-counter medications.
• Your medical history particularly of eye infections, cataracts, glaucoma, nose ulcers, nose injuries or nose surgeries.
• If you are pregnant or planning pregnancy.
• If you are breast-feeding.

Get medical help if you have any of the following side effects of Nasacort AQ Nasal Spray:

• Nosebleeds.
• Flu symptoms including fever, chills, or body aches.
• Eye pain.
• Vision changes including tunnel vision, blurred vision, or seeing halos around lights.
• Slower growth in children.
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling in your face, lips, or throat.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Nasacort AQ Nasal Spray?

If you miss a dose of Nasacort AQ Nasal Spray, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip your missed dose.
