Qvar Inhaler(beclomethasone dipropionate) is a corticosteroid which prevents and regulates asthma symptoms such as trouble breathing, shortness of breath, and wheezing. The beclomethasone works by releasing medication directly to the inflamed lungs and reduces the swelling. This medication is not to be used in emergencies but rather regularly as a preventative measure. If an asthma attack occurs, one needs to use a quick-relief inhaler.
Always use Qvar Inhaler as directed by one’s physician. Read and follow all the instructions on the packaging and your doctor or pharmacists’ directions when handling the device. Inhale the medication my mouth usually two times a day. Wait at least 1 minute between puffs and if you are using other inhalers. Take the Qvar inhaler last. Gargle and rinse your mouth with water after use of inhalers to prevent dry mouth or other discomfort. Take the Qvar Inhaler regularly to see the greatest benefits and keep track of how many puffs you use. Do not increase, decrease, or suddenly stop using the inhaler without first consulting your doctor. If your condition doesn’t improve or worsens, let your physician know immediately.
